Stadtoasen is a German NGO which operates in the town of Aachen. SEED has working partnerships with Stadtoasen around a program under the banner of the Cape Town Aachen Local Agenda 21 Partnership.The Bauwagen project began in Aachen. The Bauwagen (literally translated as a wagon) travels between schools, improving the school grounds and teaching learners about the environment. Initially staff members from both SEED and Abalimi went to Aachen to learn about the Bauwagen. The project has seen two sets of volunteers implementing the program to two Cape Flats schools. |

SEED grew up under the wing of Abalimi and has been operating independantly since Jan 2007. Abalimi continues to support SEED with strategic advice. SEED supports ABALIMI with Permaculture consultation advice and training. |

Afristar Foundation is a South African Section 21 Company, registered as a Non Governmental Organisation focused on the design and implementation of sustainable development initiatives. Afristar is working with SEED on the strategy for national rollout. |

The Cape Teaching Institute (CTI) is the Education Departments in-service training institute. This partnership resulted in the development of Enabling Environmental Education in the Intermediate Phase, which was piloted in June 2005. Due to the success of the pilot, a second course was facilitated by SEED in 2007. This course is now being mainstreamed as part of the CTIs annual teacher program. |

Jungle Theatre Company and SEED are currently working on the Umlingo weGarden program that culminates in a Festival. The program aims to put the Culture back in Permaculture and sees two innovative projects that grew up under the wing of Abalimi working together. |

Schools Environmental Teachers Association (SETA) was initiated by SEED in 2004 as a response to the need for horizontal transfer among teachers. SETA is an association of teachers that have come together to share there excitement about the possibilities of environmental education. The aims of SETA are to encourage co-operative learning between the schools and to build a platform for peer-based support. |
