The establishment of the ReSCOPE Programme followed the pioneering work of the Schools and Colleges Permaculture (SCOPE) Programme in Zimbabwe which since 1994 has assisted more than 200 schools to use Permaculture and the ILUD process to transform their landscapes from bare dusty grounds into food forests. |

SEED grew up under the wing of Abalimi and has been operating independantly since Jan 2007. Abalimi continues to support SEED with strategic advice. SEED supports ABALIMI with Permaculture consultation advice and training. |

Stadtoasen is a German NGO which operates in the town of Aachen. SEED has working partnerships with Stadtoasen around a program under the banner of the Cape Town Aachen Local Agenda 21 Partnership.The Bauwagen project began in Aachen. The Bauwagen (literally translated as a wagon) travels between schools, improving the school grounds and teaching learners about the environment. Initially staff members from both SEED and Abalimi went to Aachen to learn about the Bauwagen. The project has seen two sets of volunteers implementing the program to two Cape Flats schools. |
