has a degree in Journalism from Rhodes University and worked in the world of publishing for four years before heading over to Australia to study Permaculture at the Permaculture Research Institute. Leigh came back to South Africa in 2000 and breathed life into SEED giving new direction in teacher development and support. Leigh now lives out in Stanford and spends her time fundraising, developing the accredited facilitator training, rolling out the national program and strategically guiding SEED. |

Yoliswa studied Horticulture at Cape Technikon in Cape Town. She worked in different sectors of the industry, like landscape maintenance, production nursery and retail nursery. She joined SEED in January 2008 as a Trainee Permaculture Facilitator for the Organic Classroom Program. She will also be offering her expertise on the new SEED nursery. She grew up in the Eastern Cape where farming practices are common among the communities and is excited to learn more about how Permaculture creates abundant productive systems in an urban environment. |

grew up on a farm in Jakkelsvlei (now Heideveld) where her family had a nursery. After raising 3 children she has recently found the time to explore her lifelong interest in plants. She did courses at the Dept of Agriculture (Elsenberg) including Vegetable Production. She also completed a Permaculture Design Course at Living Art Farm, Noordhoek. Sharon looks forward to developing the SEED Nursery as a sustainable business. |

did her PDC in 1998 at Wildrock Farm. She rus her own nursery, is a facilitator par-excellance and is in love with earth worms. Tina has been runing the Permaculture garden at the Walter Sisulu Enviromental Centre and brings a wealth of knowledge to the program. Tina is loving working with school children. |

Alex did her Permaculture Design Course at Famdidzanai Training Centre
in Zimbabwe in 1993. Since then she has taught Design Courses, managaed community projects and worked
extensively in South Africa. Her passions are training, seed banking,
earth building and developing training materials. She has been
involved in the SEED schools programme for 4 years. She helped to
establish Permaculture Education Africa and lives at Berg en Dal
Ecovillage in the Ladismith district.
